Digital Core Phonics Survey Tracker

This Google Sheet is a great way to track your students using the Core Phonics Survey. It uses real and pseudo (nonsense) words to assess your students' phonics skills. The CORE Phonics Survey is available free online. NOTE: There are two versions of the assessment, this is aligned with the 2nd Edition 2008 version. This is an excellent way to pinpoint where each student is at and inform your small group instruction. The CORE Reading Survey is recommended by UFLI while they make their own. In the meantime, this is a good place to get started planning your explicit phonics instruction.

This Core Phonics Survey Tracker will help you track your student data, create small groups and quickly see where students are at in order to target specific skills. Enter student names on the "Overview" tab and it will populate the names across the remaining sheets and fields. As data is entered, Current View will update as well as charts and Overall Student progress for up to 30 students!

NOTE: This download is available for Google Sheets only. It uses Google App Scripts to sync data between sheets and does not provide the same functionality in Excel.
